The Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy and the Croatian Employment Service implement a series of active employment policy measures with the aim of encouraging employment, providing additional training for workers and preserving jobs.
1. SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYMENT
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Encouraging the employment of persons in an unfavorable/significantly unfavorable position and persons with disabilities by co-financing the cost of the gross and amount of the salary to employers.
DURATION OF THE MEASURE: 12 months (disadvantaged persons registered in the register of unemployed persons) / 24 months (persons with disabilities registered in the register of unemployed persons)
SUBSIDY AMOUNT: monthly lump-sum amount of support, regardless of the actual cost of the employer, according to the level of education and the possibility of using tax relief for the co-financed person
- SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYMENT – GREEN/DIGITAL
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Encouraging the employment of persons in an unfavorable/significantly unfavorable position and persons with disabilities by co-financing the cost of the gross and amount of the salary to employers.

- GRANTS FOR TRAINING
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Support for training is intended exclusively for employed persons (as persons employed full-time or part-time for more than 20 hours per week for an indefinite or fixed period and registered in the records of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute), in the co-financing program in which the employer bears a certain part of the total cost of training employees
DURATION OF THE MEASURE: Up to 6 months
SUBSIDY AMOUNT: Up to 70% of eligible costs (up to HRK 15.000)
- GRANTS FOR APPRENTICESHIP
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Train people for independent work by encouraging the employment of people by co-financing the cost of their gross salary and other costs to employers prescribed by this measure.
DURATION OF THE MEASURE: as a rule, no longer than one year, unless otherwise determined by a special law, in order to obtain the conditions for passing the (apprenticeship) exam in that profession, i.e. profession, but no longer than 24 months
SUBSIDY AMOUNT: monthly lump-sum amount of support, regardless of the actual cost of the employer, according to the level of education and the possibility of using tax relief for the co-financed person
- GRANTS FOR APPRENTICESHIP – GREEN/DIGITAL

- TRAINING ON THE WORKPLACE
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Enable participants to acquire practical knowledge and skills for performing the tasks of a certain workplace or work in a certain profession or to refresh skills that have been lost over time
DURATION OF THE MEASURE: Up to 6 months
TYPE OF EXPENSE: up to HRK 18.000,00 per participant for the total duration of the training
- PERMANENT SEASON
OBJECTIVE OF THE MEASURE: Financial support for workers - seasonal workers in the period when they are not working, and in order to ensure the necessary workforce for employers from all industries who have periods of reduced workload during the year due to the seasonal nature of business.
DURATION OF THE MEASURE: 6 months
FINANCING OF MEASURES:
To the employer: 100% of the cost of extended insurance for the first 3 months, and 3% of the extended insurance for the next period of up to 50 months.
Individuals: Cash assistance is paid for a maximum of 6 months of extended pension insurance in an amount determined based on the calculation of unemployment benefits, and a maximum of 70% of the average salary paid in the economy of the Republic of Croatia for the first 90 days, and 35% for the remaining period.
