The zone area is bounded on the north side by the highway corridor and the Rijeka-Zagreb road. The area of the zone represents the plateau of the Grobničko polje, which is located in the immediate hinterland of the Gulf of Rijeka. The access to the zone is achieved from the state road D 40 Konj – Čavle – Sveti Kuzam – Bakar, and through the junction Konj, which is in the immediate vicinity, there is also access to the state road D 3 Rijeka – Zagreb. The zone has no regulated connections to the D 40 road, although there are two accesses to the zone, on the western and eastern edge of the zone. The area is almost entirely undeveloped. Although the zone has not yet been brought to its intended purpose, within the area there are several buildings in which working activities are carried out (catering facility by the road, production of concrete accessories, etc.) with partially landscaped areas.
