Ever since 1975, when the first ideas about establishing an industrial zone in the hinterland of the City of Bakra, on an area of 500 ha, have been successfully growing and developing, the central business zone in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, at the same time the most developed in the Republic of Croatia, has been successfully growing and developing.
Exceptional geostrategic position, excellent transport connections (road, air and sea), numerous benefits offered to potential investors, various facilities in the zone (bus lines with waiting rooms, gas station, customs and goods terminal, insurance companies, police station, freight forwarders, parking lots , port warehouses, shopping centers, restaurants, ATMs, cold stores...) are an additional motive for doing business in the zone. The area of the zone is fully equipped with utilities. The zone is majority owned by the City of Bakr, and with the aim of further continuous development, it is managed by Industrijska zona doo, which provides investors with wholehearted assistance in the realization of their projects. There are currently around 200 business entities operating in the zone with approximately 4.500 employees.
