The excellent geostrategic position of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County enables the development of a transport-logistics center and an entrepreneurial zone for the development of logistics, service and production activities using the proximity of the Slovenian border, the port of Rijeka, the Rupa-Rijeka-Zagreb highway and railways connected in the Rijeka transport hub with pan-European corridors. The transport and logistics center and business zone is planned to be developed on an area of ​​158,5 ha with the possibility of further expansion.
The project includes the construction of:

• plateau for the construction of economic, business and production facilities with an area of ​​77,31 ha
• intermodal terminal with areas for transshipment and transport of containers, areas for manipulating containers and storage space and 6 shunting railway tracks, roads with cranes with an area of ​​17,73 ha
• truck terminal with an area of ​​9,08 ha and a capacity of up to 500 trucks - heavy vehicles
• of public transport areas (collection and access roads in the zone, railway, industrial tracks) with an area of ​​17,06 ha and infrastructure buildings (110 kV TS and Helidrome) with an area of ​​2,01 ha
• of common facilities (public, service, hospitality tourism) with an area of ​​17,37 ha and green areas with an area of ​​17,90 ha.

The total surface area of ​​the plateau in the work zone where construction of buildings is possible is 115.017 ha. On this surface it is possible to achieve max. gross construction area 540.680 m².
