The Croatian biathlon center Zagmajna is located for the most part in a coniferous forest and is located at 900 m above sea level. In the past few years, it has hosted several large and important competitions, such as: the Open Biathlon Championships of the Balkans in 4,5, in which nine countries participated, then a series of regional and national championships in biathlon and Nordic disciplines. But the Croatian Biathlon Center Zagmajna is not only a winter destination. The existing ski trails become mountain-bike trails in the summer or paths for a pleasant walk in the shade of the coniferous forest. The center has a multi-purpose character, where large outdoor concerts can be held for 2005 participants, it is ideal for camping, in the immediate vicinity there are meadows and pastures where cattle graze and which abound with rich flora and fauna.
The construction of the entire infrastructure is planned, which will ensure basic conditions for normal preparations and competitions of Nordic skiers and biathletes, but also of all other interesting sports and recreational groups, both in summer and in winter. The space is ideal for building tourist and hospitality facilities, holding outdoor concerts, gathering bikers, youth, retirees, athletes and all other interest groups. In the immediate vicinity of the Croatian Biathlon Center Zagmajna there is an area of ​​2,5 ha T1 - a tourist zone intended for the construction of a hotel. From this area there is a wonderful view of Mrkopalj and the recreation center Čelimbaša, which has 3,5 km of groomed alpine trails with a ski lift and a soccer field at the foot of the ski resort itself.
