Project description:
The goal of the project is to connect the island of Rab, as a strong tourist destination, by building an airport and further develop tourism on the island and the wider region. Rab Airport is based on the Air Transport Development Strategy of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and has been accepted by the Government of the Republic of Croatia. According to the needs and topographic characteristics of the microlocation, a runway with a length of 1.700 m, a width of 45,0 m, and a shoulder width of 7,0 m was designed. According to the conceptual design, except for the terminal building, which would meet all the needs of international flights according to ICAO and IATA standards -e, a bus stop, parking spaces for 500 vehicles, an apron area and hangars would be arranged.
